Born in a rural village in Sichuan Province, China, Shuang (played by actress Xun Zhou) is determined to make something of her life. After her father dies in a work-related accident, Shuang moves to the city to live with her aunt. Working odd jobs to make ends meet, she eventually enrolls in a cooking school and falls in love with the culinary arts.
With hard work and determination, Shuang becomes one of China’s most celebrated chefs. But when she is diagnosed with cancer, she must put her career on hold to fight for her life.

“A Taste Of Joy 2012” is a full length feature film shot entirely on locations in Jamaica, West Indies. The production company is Island Feelings Production, a US-based film production company specializing in Caribbean lifestyle content.
The movie was directed by Stacy-Ann Rose and produced by Khalif Mitchell. Stacy-Ann is a Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-raised writer/director. Khalif is a Canadian-based producer/director of photography.
The cast of the movie includes some of the most popular up-and-coming actors and actresses from Jamaica including Tanya Stevens, Sheldon Shepherd, Damien Walsh and many more. In addition, the movie features cameos from well-known Jamaican entertainers such as Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Baby Cham and others.

The reception was a huge success, with over 400 people in attendance. The food was great, and the dancing went on into the night. We would like to thank everyone who came and made it such a special occasion.
