The character’s journey

A character’s journey is the arc their character takes from the beginning to the end of a story. This can be physical, such as going from north to south, or mental, such as going from ignorant to knowledgeable. A character’s journey is often one of the most important aspects of a story, as it can be used to show how a person changes over time.

The character’s development

The character’s development is the most important part in a movie. It is what makes the audience feel for the characters and understand them. A character’s development can be shown through their clothes, how they talk, their body language and their facial expressions.

The character’s growth

The character’s growth is evident throughout the movie. The character matures and changes as a result of the challenges and obstacles they face. The character’s development is believable and their journey is compelling. The film’s ending is satisfying and leaves the audience feeling hopeful.

The character’s changes

All characters go through some sort of change or evolution throughout the course of a film. The main character will usually have the most development, but even the supporting cast will have some kind of transformation. It may be something as small as a change in hairstyle or wardrobe, or it could be a complete personality overhaul. Whatever the case may be, all these changes are intentional and meant to convey something about the character’s journey.

The character’s progress

Every character in a movie goes through some kind of change or progress, whether it is physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. This change is usually for the better and helps the character to resolve the main conflict in the story. Sometimes, however, the character’s change is not for the better, and this can create an interesting plot twist.

The character’s maturation

The character’s maturation is often portrayed in a movie by having the character go through a rites of passage. This is when the character is faced with a challenge that will change them in some way. They may not be able to go back to their old life after this experience. This can be seen as a metaphor for how we all have to grow up and leave our childhood behind.

The character’s improvement

The character’s improvement is the biggest thing that a movie can achieve. It’s what we hope to see in every film, that someone has gone on a journey and changed for the better (or worse) as a result. Sometimes it’s hard to determine whether or not a character has actually changed, though.

The character’s advancement

The character’s journey is a common throughline in many stories. We see the development from the original state to the eventual outcome, whether it’s positive or negative. In film, we get to watch this play out in real time, providing a unique perspective on the Transformation process.

What is it about film that allows us to see this so clearly? There are two key ingredients: First, film is a medium that often condenses time, allowing us to see years’ worth of development in just a few hours; and second, we as an audience have a unique relationship with fictional characters on-screen. We invest ourselves emotionally in these characters and their struggles in a way that we don’t with other works of fiction.

This combination means that we are intimately familiar with the changes a character goes through over the course of a film. We can see how they grow and change, for better or for worse, and this makes for some of the most powerful moments in cinema.

The character’s expansion

A character’s expansion is the change or development that a character goes through during the course of a story. This can be traced by looking at the character’s goals, motivations, and obstacles.

The character’s transformation

In every movie, the lead character goes through some sort of transformation. Whether it be physical, mental, or emotional, the change is what drives the story forward and allows the audience to see how far the character has come by the end.

One such example is in the Disney movie, Frozen. At the beginning of the film, Elsa is extremely reserved and scared of her own powers. She spends her life bottled up, literally, for fear of hurting anyone with her abilities. However, by the end of the film she has let go of her fear and is able to use her powers for good. This is represented visually by her letting down her hair, which she had been keeping tightly braided up throughout the film.

Another example comes from the movie Inside Out. In this film, Riley is an happy-go-lucky girl who loves hockey and spending time with her family. However, when she moves to a new city and starts a new school, she becomes Homesick and Sad. It takes most of the movie for her to readjust and be happy again. This is shown visually by the colors in her mind changing from bright and cheerful to dull and gray.
