Introduction
A Bridge Apart is a new documentary that tells the story of the people who built, maintain, and use the Bay Bridge. The film features interviews with engineers, construction workers, painters, and commuters, as well as archival footage and photographs. A Bridge Apart is directed by Emmy-award winning filmmaker Leslie Iwerks and produced by Iwerks & Co. in association with the Bay Area Toll Authority.
The Plot
The film follows the story of two estranged sisters who are forced to reunite when their father becomes gravely ill. Despite their differences, they are able to reconnect and form a bond that allows them to heal old wounds.
The Characters
In A Bridge Apart, we are introduced to several key characters. The first is Sarah, a young woman who is struggling to come to terms with her father’s death. Sarah is played by Emily Blunt. The second is Mike, Sarah’s brother, who is also struggling to deal with their father’s death. Mike is played by Paul Bettany. The third is John, Sarah and Mike’s father, who died in a car accident. John is played by Liam Neeson. The fourth character is Janet, Sarah and Mike’s mother, who is played bybd Amy Ryan. The fifth character is Dr. Kessler, a therapist who helps Sarah and Mike deal with their grief. Dr. Kessler is played by Susan Sarandon. Finally, we have the bridge itself, which plays a key role in the film.
The Setting
“A Bridge Apart” is set in post-war Germany and tells the story of two families – one German, one Jewish – who must grapple with the aftermath of the Holocaust. The film explores the power of forgiveness and reconciliation in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Themes
The film focuses on the theme of hardship and how different people respond to it. The main character, Sarah, is faced with many challenges throughout the course of the film. The Music
The music in A Bridge Apart is beautiful and haunting, and perfectly captures the mood of the film. Composer Erika Coassin did an absolutely incredible job with the score, which is both moving and evocative. The music is an essential part of the film, and I can’t imagine it without it.
The Cinematography
The cinematography is one of the great aspects of this movie. It was shot entirely on location in the Bay Area and the Golden Gate Bridge is featured prominently throughout the film. The shots of the bridge itself are stunning and the film does a great job of capturing the city’s skyline.

The Editing of A Bridge Apart was very important to the movie. It was a process that helped to shape the final film.
The Conclusion
The Conclusion is the third and final part of the A Bridge Apart trilogy. In this conclusion, the characters must face their fears and work together to save their city from destruction.
